WOULD YOU RATHER LIVE BY THE BEACH, NEAR THE MOUNTAINS OR IN THE CITY?
I would rather live by the beach where I can feel the ocean breeze and hear the waves crashing onto the shore.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FAMILY RECIPE?
Has to be my mother’s Molé Negro! With over 20 ingredients to make this sweet yet spicy sauce and many days to prep, it is definitively authentic and the best. This recipe has been in our family for many generations, and I would never change a thing!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TYPE OF FOOD?
It is Mexican food, hands down. Not because I grew up on it, but because there is so much distinctiveness in Mexican food. From seafood to vegetarian and your classic carne asada. Plus, if it is authentic, most of the time you don’t get served rice and beans.
DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS?
Yes, a wired haired dachshund named Aldo. He is a senior dog, but he has a lot of energy, loves to eat, and tries to catch squirrels (his nemesis) whenever he sees one.
WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB?
Finding artifacts and recording history, as well as discovering fossils that have never, ever been seen before!
