WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?

My first job in biology was a university lecturer teaching a laboratory course in general biology. It provided me with an opportunity to work closely with students and faculty in the department. Prior to that, I had a number of laboratory and field positions where I learned valuable analytic and field skills that I use to this day.

WHAT IS THE BEST ATTRIBUTE ABOUT WORKING AT LSA?

Working for an employee owned company is one of the great strengths of LSA. As an employee owner, we participate directly in the company’s success. We also have the opportunity to secure our retirement through the deferred compensation plans.

WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB?

The best part of my job is when I get to work on complicated biological issues that require a deep understanding of a species or habitat. Collecting data in diverse habitats and analyzing it for meaningful patterns and trends is intellectually rewarding and one of the reasons I became a biologist.
