Closing A Gap to Complete the Iron Horse Trail

LSA was responsible for the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documentation to support a Categorical Exemption and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation to fulfill California Department of Transportation District 4, Office of Local Assistance Requirements. Deliverables included a Natural Environment Study/Biological Assessment, a Historic Property Survey Report, an Archaeological Survey Report, and an Archaeological Area of Potential Effects to address the requirements of Section 106. LSA also prepared a Section 4(f) Evaluation technical report to address potential impacts on public parks, recreation areas, and/or wildlife refuges. Finally, LSA also worked with the East Bay Regional Park District, engineers, and landscape architects on permitting needs and construction monitoring.
