California High-Speed Rail
California High-Speed Rail | Multiple Locations, CA
LSA led the preparation of the environmental analysis for multiple segments of a high-speed rail line between San Francisco and Los Angeles with spurs to Sacramento, Anaheim, and San Diego. LSA has assisted with the development of the environmental methodologies for each environmental topic addressed in the environmental documents and has prepared numerous technical studies examining the subjects of air, noise, biological resources, community impacts, aesthetics, cultural resources, and water quality, and is coordinating with other team members for other studies. LSA is currently leading the preparation of Final EIR/EISs for the Burbank to Los Angeles Segment and Bakersfield to Palmdale Segment, and led the preparation of the Final Supplemental EIR/EIS and Supplemental Record of Decision for the Fresno to Bakersfield Segment. LSA’s involvement with the Rail Delivery Partner, regular participation in monthly regulatory agency meetings, and role as environmental lead on multiple segments of this project of national and statewide importance have provided opportunities for LSA staff throughout California to work on creative solutions to the complex environmental and community issues that have occurred with the furtherance of this innovative transit project.
