Jodi Ross-Borrego is managing these $1.5 million energy projects, which address biological resources as required for adequate project review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and/or State and Federal Endangered Species Acts. LSA completed the Biological Assessments and Coachella Valley Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan (CVMSHCP) Consistency Analyses, Jurisdictional Delineations, Regulatory Permitting, Section 7 Consultation, and Joint Project Reviews with the Coachella Valley Conservation Commission for the various projects. Additionally, LSA conducted focused surveys and is currently providing construction monitoring support for desert tortoise, Coachella Valley fringe-toed lizard, Coachella Valley milk vetch, burrowing owl, and nesting birds.

The Coachella Flats and San Jacinto II Projects recently signed a 15-year Power Purchase Agreement with the City of Palm Springs (City) to provide clean wind energy for the City’s Desert Energy Community Program, thereby reducing the City’s carbon footprint.
