Performing Year-Long Wildlife Assessments for Numerous Airports
Wildlife Hazards Assessment for Southern California Airports | Various Cities, CA
LSA provided local project management and six field biologists who conducted the 12-month assessment of wildlife and wildlife attractants at eight municipal airports and one private airport in preparation of Wildlife Hazards Assessments per Federal Aviation Administration guidelines and regulations (14 Code of Federal Regulations [CFR] 139.337). Overall, the bi-monthly wildlife surveys, two small mammal trapping sessions, and two large mammal spotlight surveys were conducted at eight municipal Southern California airports and for the private Inyokern Airport. All of the final Wildlife Hazards Assessments were submitted to the Federal Aviation Administration.
