LSA Announces Amy Fischer as the Company’s New CEO

LSA is pleased to announce that Amy Fischer has been appointed Chief Executive Officer

Amy will take over the position from Tony Petros starting in January of 2026, following Tony’s planned retirement.

As Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Tony has advanced LSA’s project management excellence, strengthened client relationships, and positioned the firm for continued growth in the 21st century. Building on a 40+ year career rising through the company’s ranks, he has reinforced LSA’s commitment to client-focused service while cultivating the next generation of talent across its nine regional offices. His tenure reflects both organizational vision and community commitment, informed by his public service roles and his current position as an instructor in UC Irvine’s Master of Public Policy program.

“Amy is fully prepared to assume LSA’s CEO position to guide the company into our 50th year of operation. For two decades with LSA, Amy has been integral to the firm’s growth and success. She brings a depth of experience from her previously held management positions at LSA, including Managing Principal of LSA’s Clovis office, Director of LSA’s Noise, Air Quality, and Climate Change services, and as the former Executive Vice President. She’s been extremely effective in her current role of President and Chief Operating Officer, a position she has held for the last 3 years. Amy’s leadership has been instrumental in the company’s recent growth, the result of which has led to historic returns for LSA’s employee-owners. I am pleased to hand over leadership to Amy, who will guide the firm to new successes in the coming years.”

“I am honored to have been chosen by the Board to lead LSA as we build upon our 50 years of excellence. My focus will be on leveraging the expertise of LSA’s leadership and staff to continue to address evolving environmental issues and deliver impactful solutions for LSA’s clients, while also implementing internal programs and policies that make LSA the best firm for top talent to practice their craft in the environmental field.”

– Amy Fischer

Amy’s dedication to both teamwork and the company’s mission positions LSA to continue making meaningful contributions to the communities it serves, all while providing a supportive and stable work environment for staff.

LSA was founded in 1976 to meet the needs for environmental evaluation as a result of the passage of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). With over 180 employees, LSA is a full-service consulting firm that continues to grow to meet the needs of evolving environmental regulations in California and beyond.
