LSA Offers Mitigation Photography Services

LSA’s Northern California Cultural Resources Group offers photography services to ensure that our clients meet mitigation requirements for projects that will impact historic architecture. With over 50 years of combined staff experience and training large format and digital photography, LSA is qualified to complete photographic documentation in accordance with Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) and Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) standards.

Maybert Road Over Canyon Creek Bridge, Nevada County, California
In 2015, LSA conducted a HABS Level II recording of the Maybert Road Over Canyon Creek Bridge, a National Register-eligible resource constructed in 1895 near the town of Washington. The bridge was an excellent example of a Pony Truss bridge.

Polo Barn, Scotts Valley, California
In 2015, LSA conducted a HABS Level II recording of the Polo Barn Complex, a historical resource under CEQA designed by architect William Wurster and constructed in 1930. The barn was as an excellent example of Wurster’s craft.

Fred Turner Building, Berkeley, California
In 2019, LSA conducted a HABS Level II recording of the Fred Turner Building, a Berkeley City Landmark and National Register-eligible building designed in 1940 by Julia Morgan. The building is a late example of Arts and Crafts architecture, as well as Morgan’s commercial design.
